Day 1 | Depart for Cape Town

Flight times to be determined when scheduling becomes available!

Day 2 | Cape Town

Arrive in Cape Town in the evening and check into the Portswood Hotel where we will spend the next four nights!

Day 3 | Cape Town (B)

Enjoy a full day Cape Peninsula Tour including stops at Boulders Beach to visit the penguins and the Cape of Good Hope, the southwesternmost point in Africa. In the evening, opt to join the group for meal at one of Cape Town’s many great restaurants.

Day 4 | Cape Town (B)

Enjoy a full day tour of the Cape Winelands region, visiting the historical city of Stellenbosch, touring wine estates with expert guides, and indulging in a variety of tastings and pairings.

Day 5 | Cape Town (B)

This morning, enjoy a tour of Table Mountain. Enjoy Cape Town at leisure this afternoon. Walk the V&A Waterfront or wander through the city centre. Check out the Cultural Historical Museum, Planetarium, and many other museums. For the adventurous, opt to go skydiving or cage diving for a close encounter with a great white shark!

Day 6 | Cape Town/Johannesburg (B, D)

Take a short flight from Cape Town to Johannesburg. We’ll check into Malikana Guesthouse where we will spend the evening. In the afternoon, embark on a Soweto tour with a local guide and driver. Soweto was an important center of South Africa’s anti-apartheid movement and home to its leader, Nelson Mandela. This evening, enjoy a traditional South African Braai at the hotel!

Day 7 | Johannesburg/Karongwe Private Game Reserve (B, D)

This morning, you will fly to the Kruger National Park area. When you arrive, you will be transferred to Karongwe Private Game Reserve where you will embark on an afternoon safari drive. We will spend the next 3 nights at the Chisomo Safari lodge.

Day 8 | Karongwe Private Game Reserve (B, L, D)

This morning, embark on a morning safari drive. In the afternoon, opt to relax at the camp or go on another safari drive. 

Day 9 | Karongwe Private Game Reserve (B, L, D)

Spend the day exploring Karongwe on morning and afternoon safaris with our local guides. Search for Africa’s famed “big five” as we drive through the shrublands of the bushveld. Back at camp, relax on deck or take a walk around the grounds

Day 10 | Karongwe Private Game Reserve/Greater Kruger 
(B, D)

This morning, enjoy a wildlife safari drive at Chisomo Safari Lodge. In the afternoon, you will take the scenic Panorama Route to the greater Kruger National Park area where we will check into the Muluwa Lodge luxury tented camp for one night!

Day 11 | Greater Kruger Area/Victoria Falls (B, D)

This morning, you will fly from Kruger to Victoria Falls. When you arrive in Victoria Falls, you will be escorted to the Explorers lodge where we will stay two nights. This evening, visit a nearby village and go grocery shopping in the bustling market. Then sit down with a local family for dinner, helping your hosts prepare a traditional Zimbabwean meal using the ingredients you picked out!

Day 12 | Victoria Falls (B)

Today, enjoy a morning tour of Victoria Falls. In the evening, embark on a sunset cruise along the Zambezi River. 

Day 13 | Victoria Falls (B)

After breakfast we will say goodbye to Victoria Falls and begin our journey home! Arrive back in Canada one full day later!
