Join Sheila Kemp on a 5 day hosted journey north to the Polar Bear Capital of the World! We’ll fly to Winnipeg before heading to the northern frontier town of Churchill, Manitoba to experience the town and the wonderful wildlife surrounding it! This hotel-based adventure offers the excitement of viewing the Churchill polar bears from a Tundra Buggy®, and the opportunity to take in the eclectic charm of this remote northern town. The Tundra Buggies are specially designed for the northern landscape, these all-terrain vehicles enable us to take guests to the best locations in the Churchill area to safely experience wildlife. 

You will also have the opportunity to race through the boreal forest with a local dog musher and team of enthusiastic sled dogs by partaking in the traditional northern sport of dog sledding. This tour includes all flights, airport transfers, accommodations, 4 breakfasts, 2 lunches & 1 dinner, two tundra buggy wildlife drives, local guides, and will be hosted by Sheila Kemp – Owner and President of the Kemp Travel Group! DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY

Day One | November 5, 2022

Meet our motorcoach at your pre-arranged pickup point to transfer to Pearson Airport where we will board our flight to Winnipeg. Upon arrival into Winnipeg we will check into the Lakeview Signature Hotel located adjacent to the Winnipeg International Airport. This evening, guests will be invited to a welcome orientation hosted by their local guide. Our guide will give us more information on the Churchill Polar Bears itinerary and answer any questions guests may have. 

Day Two | November 6, 2022 (B) 

After breakfast, we depart on an early morning flight from Winnipeg to Churchill. Upon arrival, enjoy an interpretive transfer from the Airport to town which will take us past local and historical points of interest such as Manitoba Conservation’s Polar Bear Holding Facility and the Inukshuk at Town Beach. This afternoon, we will set out for an afternoon dog sledding expedition. Hosted by a local resident and dog sledding expert, you will enjoy an exhilarating ride behind a strong team of sled dogs on a custom-made sled. Overnight in Churchill. 
 

Day Three | November 7, 2022 (B,L) 

 After breakfast, we will be transferred to the Tundra Buggy Launch site. Here we will board an authentic Tundra Buggy and set out on an exciting interpretive guided expedition to view polar bears and other arctic wildlife. A picnic-style lunch will be served on the Tundra Buggy. A Polar Bears International species expert will also join us on board for an in-depth discussion on polar bears and their habitat. Later this afternoon, the Tundra Buggies will return to launch and we will be transferred back to Churchill. Overnight in Churchill. 
 

Day Four | November 8, 2022 (B,L,D) 

After breakfast, we will depart for our second full-day Tundra Buggy Adventure in the Churchill Wildlife Management Area. Today we will continue the search for sights and signs of wildlife including arctic fox, ptarmigan and others, meandering slowly along the way. After the full day adventure, we will depart on an evening flight to Winnipeg. Upon arrival we will be transferred to the Lakeview Signature Hotel for check in. 
 

Day Five | November 9, 2022 (B) 

Today we will depart Winnipeg at leisure and head back to Toronto where we will be met by the coach to return us to our original pickup points!
